Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring (QCM-D) (openQCM-next)

Description

QCM-D is a surface-sensitive analytical technique that measures changes in resonance frequency and dissipation of a quartz crystal sensor to monitor molecular adsorption, film formation, and viscoelastic properties in real time. Applications include studying macromolecule adsorption and interaction on surface, analysing biofilms, and evaluating packaging materials. Suitable for researchers, students, and industry partners working in food, environmental, and life sciences. The system is portable, cost-effective, and suitable for research collaborations and advanced teaching activities. This device has 2 operating methods: 1) a peristaltic pump piping liquid into the chamber; 2) an open window for directly dripping samples on the sensor In-line degassing is not equipped. Fees apply for commercial use and consultancy. No fee for research collaborations.
